My husband has back pain due to a car accident from years ago and recently heard about the benefits of inversion tables. Does anyone use one, and if so, what do you think of it? Is it just temporary relief or are there long-term benefits?
Thanks! |

| I have and use an inversion table and really love it. For 10-15 minutes a day, it allows my spine to decompress. It's very relaxing. However, I would check with your husband's physician to make sure this is a safe and healthy pursuit. |

| Your husband should see a licensed chiropractor and if he has bulging discs, should go on a decompression machine, often called a DRX 9000. This has a computer connected to it and allows each patient their own level of decompression based on their particular injury. An inversion board is fine for everyday decompression, but if he has been injured, the DRX can keep him from having to have surgery down the line. Insurance usually covers this procedure. |
