| My husband and I plan to build an earthship as soon as we find the right spot in Jefferson, Gilpin, or Boulder County...Any ideas as to where we might find a good south facing slope to do so? And the question of water harvesting is such an interesting one in these here parts...any updates or thoughts would be very appreciated! We just looked at a wonderful acre but the minimum well depth to reach any water whatsoever was 600 feet...that seems excessive to me! I promise to put the water I harvest from the sky in the ground just as soon as I've used, recycled, and cleaned it by feeding my plants...;) Anyways, if anyone is interested in learning more about these amazing homes there's www.earthship.net and the new documentary "Garbage Warrior" is premiering on April 11th. I really hope we start seeing earthships spring up in our beautiful front range community. ~ Kristine |
