Side effects of body detox...

This is my first post on here as I just found this website today :). Very glad I did ! After re-evaluating my life and my environmental surroundings, I've started working on cleansing my mind, body, soul and home of stress and negativity.

I'm seeking advice, encouragement or related situations if you have any...

I'm in day 4 of my six day detox. Yesterday I felt revitalized, today I feel terrible. Nauseated, tired and I'm lacking the willpower to complete it. This is my 4th time in six years doing this specific detox. Could it be that since I haven't detoxed in 2 years, I'm paying more of a price than in previous times????

Hi Aquagirl,

Welcome! What kind of detox are you doing? How did you usually feel while doing this detox in the past?

Hello!

It consists of 2 days eating non-meat proteins, no sugar, no additives/preservatives in anything, etc., 2 days liquid (veggie broth, water, real fruit juice (low sugar fruits), etc.), then 2 days non-meat proteins. There's a long list of do's and dont's.

In the past I've felt great till the 2nd day of liquids. Usually that's when I would get irritable and a little hungry. I've never felt this sick before.

I've decided that this detox really stressed my body out this time. Perhaps because I'm getting older and my lifestyle has changed...I don' t know. I should admit though, I think that day of feeling horrible was an eye opener. Maybe that's what it's supposed to feel like when your body is depleting un-necessary elements out of your body.

By the 7th day, when I was back on normal food, I did feel revitalized.

I do know that I'm going to look into something that is less complicated the next time I decide to detox. And, I think I'm going to make an effort to detox more often. Perhaps 3 day detoxes once a month. Any suggestions?

I am a firm believer of detoxifying your body. My question to you is how is your life style? Are you a smoker? Do you eat healty and exercise regularly? These facts play a large part in the success of each detox regimen. I've only tried one product that is very new to the market. It's called The SeaSource Detox Spa collection. Included in this collection is a supplement called 7-Day Body Cleanse Dietary Supplement. I use the collection regularly but the supplement is intended to be repeated every 30 days. After a treatment, I feel refreshed, re-energized, and complete.

After researching and listening to speaker Dr. Ottley of Hays, Kansas, I've realized that toxins enter our bodies daily and it's important to maintain an healthy lifestyle. Of course, that's almost impossible for most of us with the schedules we have. She speaks highly of the 7-day cleanse, and since, I've been very fond of this product.
