I saw an infomercial for these detox foodpads called kinobi and was wondering if anyone knew if these products work well or even at all to aid in detox.

I have seen that infomercial, too, but I have not used that particular product. . .I have, however used a brand I bought at my local health food store, which just happens to be the same kind they sell in the gaiam catalog.  My husband and I split a box.  I did feel like there were a couple of mornings where I woke up and had extra energy.

As a matter of fact, just yesterday I ordered another brand from a website called dreamproduts.com, because the price was great.  I had seen an ad in a coupon insert in the newspaper.  So, we'll see.  It's funny; I just began hearing about these last year through the catalog, and now I see them everywhere.  I have also done Ionic cleansing (foot bath).  very cool if you can afford it, but these foot pads may be a more affordable option.  we definitely saw gunk on them in the morning!

I've done a little bit of research after this post and seems like most people agree it's a scam. Heres how they "proved" them wrong. The commercial claims it draws toxins out of the body through your feet but it looks like they react to the sweat and draw out nothing but dirt from your feet. The experiment that was done went like this: Use 1 pad on one foot until the pad gets clearer (supposedly from having less toxins in the body now) do not use anything on the other foot until the first one is relatively clear then put a patch on the other foot. If the patch comes out clear then it confirms it's doing something other than getting dirt, but if the patch comes out dark like when you first started then it is obviously just doing something to the foot and not to the whole body.

I haven't actually done this myself but from the site I read that others did it seems like a scam. I would love if someone that has these or is going to be buying them to post results of this.

Hi, I have purchased the foot pads, and used them. For starters, they emit a foul smell after a night's rest, the pad is soaked with my sweat, and it's this dark, dark greenish color that smells.

I tried them, and I have not really seen a difference.  I want to Gaiam's brand next and see what to make of it.

Since I am getting them still, I decided to keep using them.

I have noticed that I am loosing weight, in particular stubborn water weight. People I see everyday are also noticing the difference in appearence, but also that I seem very calm.

Is it because I do use them every night now (alternating the foot application) and I do sweat where the pad's applied?  The answer is yes. I keep a spray bottle of water next to my bed, and clean my feet before application. In the morning, I take off the pad, and immediately spray-wash my foot again to clean off the glue and goo. It changed from a dark black-ish-green, to a brown color. I also notice I am sleeping better with the pad on.

I did experiment using myself, I did not wear the pads for one week, by Tuesday, I was feeling tired.  By Wednesday, I was feeling very sluggish. I did not change a thing to my sleep patterns. I also noticed that I wanted to snack more.

I'm back on the pads.  Is it a mind-game thing?  Probably, but you know what?  If it's helping me loose weight, eat less, and wake up everyday,  feeling a little more refreshed, I won't knock it.  (I've been on this for about three months.)
