Do you meditate?

I just started taking a meditation class here at work and am really enjoying it. I recognized recently that it was important for me to find my center, let go of stress, and clear my mind. My hope is to get comfortable doing meditation  on my own and be able to do it every morning before my 11 month old daugther wakes up and the craziness of my day begins.

I am really looking forward to working this practice into my day. Do any of you meditate? Why? How has it helped you? When do you do it? How often? Is there a type of practice you do?

The type of mediation we practice here at work is taught be Eric Pepin. You can read about it here.

Yes, I meditate daily and I have created a 21 day program to help others develop the habit of meditation as well.

I just compiled an international survey on the biggest obstacles to developing the habit of meditation for those that are interested:
http://www.meditationchallenge.com/survey

I have experienced so many benefits from meditation.  Mostly, I am more able to become the observer of thought instead of the reactor.  And I am able to bring meditation into my life throughout the day, not only during my "sitting" time.
I experience great joy.  Have more energy and increased creativity as well!

We use many different meditation techniques in the 21 day program, then we drop the "technique" and just BE.

I think it's important for people to realize that meditation isn't about locking yourself away in a quiet room for hours, but that meditation is a way of living!
