What's your favorite, tried-and-true way to cleanse your body of toxins?

Do you do take supplements or powders?

Eat certain foods or home-made drink concoctions?

Do qigong?

Ramp up your cardio and just sweat out the impurities?

Take a spa retreat? (What's spa you most highly recommend and why?)

Detox foot bath?

Detox patches?

Something else?

Our article 10 Ways to Detox Your Body has been one of our most popular articles so far, and we'd like you to share with others what cleansing program works best for you.

I begin the day with detoxing my mind.  Meditating on the daybreak sky, enjoying a steamy shower, breathing deep and feeling the moist air clean my lungs, hearing favorite music as I prepare to leave for work, and finally, count my blessings as I drive to the office.   If there are stressed or angry drivers, I give them plenty of room to go around me.

Take niacin starting with 100 ml. working up and under supervision of detox supervisor and before detoxing getting a check up from my place of medical practice.
run or do treadmill until the niacin turns on a flush and lets me know it is running out the radiation and toxins.
Sit in the sauna for the prescribed time each day.
Eat veggies, sleep well during this period...keep a daily writeup on the changes for the supervisor. Take all of the other vitamins including calcium magnesium such as B1, C, etc...you get the vitamin testing before you start on what your body needs.

Detoxing is great! Whether it is done via a Purificationâ„¢ method or on your own through an example such as Isogenics it is good for the body to have a rest and gain the spiritual awareness it brings as you are cleansling.

We recommend a month long Kitchari fast.  A Classic Ayurvedic staple that is Tri-Doshic (all constitutions are balanced).  Its a nourishing food (equal parts split mung beans, basmati rice, ghee and digestive spices) that supports all the tissues and organs, is so easy to digest and tastes great.  This allows our bodies to gently detox over the month and restore balance of the doshas without all the extra stress and energy it requires to do an intense detox program.  During this month one should take Triphala in the evenings and get massaged followed by steams to fully detoxify.

I've done a combination of detox foot patches and minor fasting. Mind you I don't detox all the time, but when it just feels like my body needs to take a break.

During the days of the detox I would drink fruit juices (I made a mixture of apple, carrot, beet and blueberry juices) and filtered water. Around 5pm, I would eat a bowl of organic rice (Amy's makes an amazing brown rice and vegetable bowl that's organic and vegetarian, for those like me who don't have time available to get into a full course meal preparation). After about a week of this, I found I had more energy, slept better, and felt fuller longer when I ate regular meals again.

When I felt hungry during the detox, I would meditate or do Nada Yoga (sound yoga), which was an excellent way to detox the mind while detoxing the body. :)

For me, detoxing is more about what I DON'T do :-)
No sugar, caffeine, meat, or white flour/processed foods.

I just stop eating food that's bad for me and drink mainly water and cranberry juice. When I said bad for me, I mean stuff full of fat, sugar, pork, etc. etc. Detox products help as well. Oh and vitamins.

I'm a nurse at a facility that focuses on they dying. Many with illness. I have recently understood the importance of Detox. There are many in our family that have cancer and have passed. It has been very real to me that we live an unhealthy lifestyle.

I use a combination of supplements for optimal health. Vitamins, bone and joint health, weight-loss, and detoxifying supplements. I started to use a 7 day detox supplement that targest my internal organs eliminating the harmful toxins I ingest daily. I compliment that with a skin spa regimen that focuses on strengthening, stimulating, and supporting good health. I feel so energized and refreshed with each use. I'm very happy with these products and am a firm believer! The 7 day detox is to be used as often as every four weeks. I use the skin regimen daily. I treat myself each night after a stressful day.
