Celebrity Planet: Brad Pitt's Other Baby, Jenny Garth Reuses & More!
Everybody in the celebrity business — including yours truly — is on Brangelina baby watch. When will the twins arrive? What will they name them? Ahhhh... I've spent more hours than I should have thinking about it. Even Brad seems to have other things on his mind — like the new green hotel he's helping design in Dubai.
Angelina's better half is working with the L.A.-based architecture firm GRAFT to design the 800-room, five-star hotel. The heartthrob, who's also building environmentally-friendly homes in New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward, said this about it in a statement: "Whilst acting is my career, architecture is my passion. Selecting this development as my first major construction project has been a simple decision. It will underpin not only my values for environmentally-friendly architecture, but also embrace my career in entertainment."
Can the guy be any more perfect? Blech.
We recently chatted about Neil Young's electric car endeavor, but you'll never believe which star was seen driving one since then — Britney Spears (Check out a photo)! Of course the pop tart's green ride wasn't to help the environment at all. Figures. She was merely playing around in her sons' battery-operated Cadillac Escalade in the driveway of her Studio City, Calif. home. To make matters work, she's clutching bottled water in the photo!
Britney should take a cue from 90210 star Jennie Garth, who was strolling with her dogs by her Burbank, Calif. home recently while toting her "Thirsty for Change" reusable bottle. I always loved me some Kelly Taylor and can't wait to check out the spin-off next fall on the CW! Keep reusing, Jennie!
Lindsay Lohan may really be turning over a new leaf. This week, she started filming a new movie, Labor Pains, and so far she's arrive on the set on time, each day! Plus, she's signed on as the face of this year's Visa Swap fashion event, which promotes the trading of unwanted clothing throughout the UK.
"I am so excited to be involved," Linds said in a statement posted on their Web site. "The concept of swapping clothes, getting something for nothing and refreshing your wardrobe appeals to everyone. Ethical stories continue to dominate the news agenda and it's great when fashion projects benefit charities."
Lauren Bush, spokesperson for UN World Food Programme's FEED bag, was spotted buying three bags of eco-friendly cleaning products, including a mop, at the Method pop-up store in New York City's SoHo. I'm sure she handed the bag to her maid when she got home, but still!
British singer Lily Allen — who is currently rocking hot pink hair — blogged about a run-in with paparazzi in Los Angeles. After being trailed by 20 photos in SUVs, she told urged the shutterbugs: "Boys, go green!"
The curvy Catherine Zeta-Jones has whittled down her frame considerably. (Check out a photo here.) On the set of The Rebound this week, she covered her skinny bod in a Tonic Generation shirt that said "This T has provided 3 mosquito nets in Africa." So nice... though the T size was probably a girls large.
Lastly, congrats to Jessica Alba, who gave birth to her organic baby last weekend. (Read all about her green nursery here.) She named her daughter Honor Marie. Like the name? Tell me what you think below.
