8 Healing Hand Positions to Help Your Back
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a safe, gentle, nonintrusive hands-on healing technique for use on yourself or with others, which uses spiritual energy to treat physical ailments without using pressure, manipulation or massage. However, it is much more than a physical therapy. It is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonizing all aspects of the person — body, mind, emotions and spirit — and it can also be used to encourage personal and spiritual awareness and growth.
Hand positions for the back of the body
When positioning the hands for the back of the body, some people find difficulty in having the palms of their hands flat against their body, particularly if they have any stiffness in their wrists or fingers, such as with arthritis. If this is the case, then you can place the back of your hand against your body instead.
The palm chakra, like all other chakras, spreads out of both sides of the hand so the Reiki will flow out of the back of your hand just as well, if that is what it needs to do. For quite a lot of people this makes hand positions 10 and 11 much more comfortable.
